Chuck Calvi loves building homes. He thoroughly enjoys the process, from vague ideas to deciding on a floor plan, from digging the foundation to handing the keys of a forever-home over to the homeowner. Chuck started learning the building trades more than 25 years ago from a skilled and well respected craftsman who took him under his wing and trained him one on one. Houses, additions, basements, and decks…no job was too big or small.
Chuck’s interest in building spills over into the real estate world and led to him obtaining his real estate license back in the day as well. So he can be counted on for advice on how to find and secure a desirable site for his clients to build.
In 2007 Chuck was introduced to Honest Abe Log Homes when he was hired by his friend and Honest Abe dealer Travis Kidwell. Together they completed multiple projects in Hampshire County, West Virginia. Now that Travis has retired from the company, Chuck has gladly stepped into his shoes to continue providing his skills and knowledge of the log home industry to clients who are ready to make their log home dreams a reality.

As an Independent Dealer, New World Custom Homes navigates each homeowner through the process of designing a log or timber home and serves as liaison with our manufacturer, Honest Abe Log Homes, throughout the manufacturing process. Honest Abe Log Homes began in 1979 and is still owned and operated by the family of its founder.
